In 2024, rather than the one-word challenge, I will focus on my version:
The One Verse Challenge. One Scripture verse.
Over the past 7 months of study, I have experienced a transformation from focusing and meditating on just one verse, rather than just reading Scripture to check a box.
Is it important to read as much of your Bible as you can? Of course! And I’m not suggesting you stop.Â
But when you ponder, focus, speak, and write just one verse, you WILL experience what you can not accomplish on your own. You will experience God.Â
I have heard, felt, and seen what I could never before all from this simple ritual. This will elevate your relationship with the Father to a degree you have not experienced.
So what does this look like?
- Select a verse that resonates with you. Take your time and be sure it’s one that you are drawn to.
- Read that verse aloud each morning, first thing, BEFORE you reach for your phone.
- Write the verse IN CURSIVE each night just before you close your eyes for sleep. The timing and procedure are important to notice results.
- Be ready for revelation! It’s that simple. No catch.
For the two minutes, this takes each day, the results are remarkable.
(Note: As you commit to this ritual, you may be led to other verses. That is okay. As you commune with God, He will guide you. Take His lead.)
Feel free to share this publicly. If you are not ready, as I know only some feel comfortable publicly proclaiming their faith, do this privately. This is between you and God. It simply matters that you take the time to do it.
And If you’ve never opened a Bible, or it’s been a while, now is the time.Â
Please share and spread the One Verse Challenge!
I wish all of you a blessed year. May you experience the joy and peace of Jesus!
