We use this phrase quite flippantly in our culture. I mean, “new beginnings“ is used for just about anything.
- A new job.
- A new house.
- Marriage
- Welcoming a child
We are always hoping, and somewhat expecting, that these events will bring some meaningful change to our life. And maybe it will for some time.
In the meantime, until we feel the fulfillment we have longed for, they add this temporary excitement and happiness. But what about the kind of change that brings on peace and joy? You know, the kind that sticks?
The two-week journey that I have taken with the meditation module, New Beginnings, has finally brought me the hope and peace of a new beginning that is lasting. But I have to admit that this feeling of peace is not coming from the newness of an event that is taking place in my life. Rather, this is transformative thinking that occurs that no matter what happens, you are at peace because of what Jesus has done for you.
This is not temporary.
This series helped me wrap my head around some vital biblical concepts that I have been living without. When you come to these truths, it’s not as if the light bulb goes off in your head; it’s more like a volcanic eruption of inexplicable joy—years of anxiety, guilt, and shame dissipated as if they never existed.
I let it go.
This meditation journey is not one that I expected to enjoy and grow from as much as I have in such a short time. In a previous blog, I shared that when beginning Heart Physics, I was not looking forward to meditating. I didn’t want to believe that it was this easy – as long as you allow it to be.
Yet, here I am, six weeks in, experiencing significant change.
So what’s next?
Limitless Life. This is a shorter series of three days. I know nothing about it, but I think the title is telling, don’t you?
Stay tuned. More to come…
