There’s this belief that eating healthy is expensive. I wish I could earn a penny for every time I have been told this. But check out these two carts. I’m sure you notice which one is healthy (right) and which is not so healthy (left).
Can I tell you something? The price difference from left to right is a mere few dollars. Yes. For real.
But there’s more I would like to point out here. On the left, I see empty, processed foods that leave you unsatisfied, leading you to binge eat and spend more money on groceries later in the week. I see food that will lead to higher medical bills due to all kinds of inflammation, high blood pressure, and a whole host of issues that can fill ten pages.
On the right, I see healthier choices that not only leave you satisfied but move your health in a better direction. I see foods that won’t cause that sugar spike that leads to wanting to eat more and more. I see foods are nutrient-dense.
Look, I think we can all agree that buying groceries is an expense that has shot much higher in the past couple of years. It’s frustrating. But it can be used as an excuse as to why we can’t get healthy.
Ultimately, you get to decide. Do you want to spend your money at the grocery store or the doctor’s office?
